Leeds United boss had claimed he would not sign players from Tottenham Hotspur. But can he afford to ignore England under-20 World Cup champion Josh Onomah?

Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa claimed yesterday he would not set out to use friendships with Pep Guardiola and Mauricio Pochettino to sign players from Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.
This comes after signing youngster Jack Harrison from City at the end of last month.
If this was Bielsa drawing a line in the sand, so be it, but he should consider a quick U-turn amid reports Spurs are willing to loan out England under-20 World Cup winner Josh Onomah.
Onomah is a midfielder who possesses similar attributes to Ronaldo Vieira, a player Leeds reluctantly cashed in on at £7 million.
Getting a replacement in on loan would be ideal, with Onomah technically gifted, smart in possession, and able to chip in with goals from midfield.

Last season he was at Aston Villa on loan and helped Steve Bruce’s side reach the play-offs.
Bielsa’s stance of not wanting to lean too much on his connections to aid him is morally admirable, but he should not go the opposite way if it counts against him.
Leeds could add Onomah and boost their squad with the midfielder available, or they could allow a promotion rival to strengthen instead.
