Marcelo Bielsa has revealed that he doesn’t expect Stuart Dallas to be fit for Leeds United’s clash this weekend.

Dallas scored the all-important equaliser for the Whites in Tuesday night’s 1-1 draw with Luton Town at Elland Road.

But the Northern Ireland international was a late injury concern after being replaced by Jamie Shackleton in stoppage time.

The Leeds boss revealed in his post-match press conference that it’s a potential back issue, adding that Dallas probably won’t make Saturday’s trip to Blackburn Rovers.

He said via Leeds Live: “He feels something in the lower back/glutes, but don’t think he’s going to play in the next match.”

Bielsa could also be without captain Liam Cooper, who went off injured after 12 minutes last night, while Jean-Kevin Augustin hasn’t featured for United since Championship fixtures resumed.

The Argentine coach has been battling big injuries to big players for much of his two-year stint in West Yorkshire.

And with a six-point cushion in the automatic promotion places, and six games to go, now is not the time for another crisis of personnel to crop up for Bielsa as the Premier League looms.
