Marcelo Bielsa has confirmed to Leeds Live that Adam Forshaw has not trained with the first-team this season.
Forshaw has been out injured for well over a year now, despite hopes around Elland Road that his return would be imminent.
However, Bielsa’s latest update suggests that the Leeds midfielder may have a long way to go before he is ready to feature again.
“Highs and lows. Up until this point he hasn’t been able to do any football practises,” Bielsa said, when asked for an update on the midfielder’s recovery.
Forshaw’s continued absence has to be a concern for Leeds, as his place in the side now looks questionable.

The 29-year-old was a key player in Bielsa’s system before his lengthy lay-off, but Leeds may have moved on without him now.
Leeds’ midfield seems fairly set, and competition for places has increased since the likes of Raphinha and Rodrigo have arrived in the summer.
Leeds did at least receive some positive injury news at yesterday’s press conference, as Bielsa confirmed that Diego Llorente was back and fit to play again.
