Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa has told Leeds Live that Patrick Bamford is not injured ahead of Wednesday’s clash with Newcastle United.
The Whites are back in action tomorrow night, and will be looking for a response having lost 2-1 at home to West Ham United on Friday.
Leeds are going through a tricky spell having won just one of their last six games, and they will be desperate to hit back against Steve Bruce’s Newcastle.
Bielsa may consider changes to his side, but he has at least made it clear that striker Bamford will be available for selection on Wednesday night.
Bielsa was quizzed about Bamford’s fitness on Monday, and simply responded with ‘no’ when asked whether Bamford is injured ahead of the game.
The Leeds boss has vowed to be more coy about his team selections having named his entire lineup days before facing West Ham, so his one-word answer on Bamford isn’t a huge shock.

The 27-year-old endured a frustrating night against West Ham, but having scored against Chelsea earlier this month, he has shown that he is still more than capable of scoring in the Premier League.
Newcastle will have to wary of Bamford given that he looks set to start against them, with Bielsa handed something of a boost with the knowledge of his availability.
