Marcelo Bielsa has revealed that Rodrigo will start for Leeds United in Friday’s visit of West Ham United.
The 29-year-old has started only three Premier League games for the Elland Road club since a £30 million summer move from Valencia.
And he hasn’t made a first XI under Bielsa since the 3-0 demolition of Aston Villa back in October.
But the Argentine boss has confirmed to a press conference via Leeds’ official Twitter that the Spain international will be back in the starting lineup against the Hammers, which he named during the presser itself.
He said: “Rodrigo Moreno’s going to come in for Llorente and the XI is going to be: Meslier, Dallas, Ayling, Cooper, Alioski, Phillips, Klich, Moreno, Raphina, Bamford and Harrison.”
Bielsa has a bit of concern in regards to centre-back options.
Robin Koch and Diego Llorente are both unavailable, but it looks like the Leeds boss has an idea over who’ll partner Cooper in central defence after already naming his first XI.
Kalvin Phillips and Luke Ayling both have a good bit of experience in that role, despite it not being their natural position, and it’ll be a big shock if anybody other than one of them appears there against the Irons.
