What a day it was for Leeds United.

Leeds overcame the odds to beat Manchester City 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium, courtesy of a late winner from Stuart Dallas.

Dallas also opened the scoring for the Whites but a few minutes later, Liam Cooper was red carded for a dangerous foul on Gabriel Jesus.

Manchester City equalised with 14 minutes to go but Dallas struck again to cap a stunning victory for Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

If there was a negative, it’s the fact that star summer signing Raphinha came off with a suspected injury late on.

And although Bielsa has confirmed that it was an injury-related substiution, the legendary Argentine coach did offer some good news by claiming that he didn’t believe it was a serious issue.

He said via Leeds Live: “Haven’t asked [about his condition], but don’t have the feeling it is serious.”

Since winning Premier League promotion from the Championship last summer, after 16 years out of the top flight, Leeds, who are 10th and above Arsenal in the table, have been a breath of fresh air.

But so too has Raphinha and it would be a big downer if he had to miss United’s last seven games of the campaign but, going by Bielsa’s comments, he’ll be back soon.
