Leeds United are going through a rather inconsistent patch at the moment, winning three and losing three of their last six games.
The Whites face a tough task on Friday evening as they face Nuno Espirito Santo’s Wolves in what is likely to be an intriguing tactical battle between two fantastic managers.
Wolves got the better of Leeds earlier this season with Raul Jimenez goal separating the two sides.
Unfortunately, Wolves will be without Jimenez for this one, and Leeds have injury problems of their own to contend with as Kalvin Phillips and Rodrigo remain ruled out of this one.
If Marcelo Bielsa’s side are going to come away from Molineux with three points, he’ll have to get his team selection spot on, and with that in mind we’ve had a go at predicting Leeds’ starting XI for this one.
We think that Bielsa will make one change for this match.
We expect Diego Llorente to come in for Jamie Shackleton for this one.
Bielsa has confirmed that the centre-back is back in contention for this fixture after an injury layoff, and we think he’ll be put straight back into the XI.
This will see Luke Ayling move back to his natural role of right-back, where he may have his work cut out for him if Pedro Neto starts.
Starting Ayling over Shackleton at right-back makes a lot of sense when you consider the talent that Wolves have out wide, but of course there are question marks around Llorente’s fitness, but if Bielsa says he’s available, then we have to trust that judgement.
The rest of the team is about what you’d expect it to be, Raphinha and Jack Harrison play on the wings, while Patrick Bamford retains his place up front.
