Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa appeared to suggest that Jamie Shackleton and Raphinha will be available to face Norwich City this weekend.

The Whites lost 2-0 at Arsenal on Tuesday night, crashing out of the Carabao Cup as Calum Chambers and Eddie Nketiah found the net.

Neither Raphinha nor Shackleton were available from the bench against Arsenal, sparking fears about their situations.

Raphinha took a heavy blow to the ankle against Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend and was substituted immediately.

Shackleton started against Wolves but his absence last night left some wondering if he has suffered an injury.

After the defeat to Arsenal, Bielsa told Leeds Live ‘we think not’ when asked if the duo had any issues.

Leeds certainly need Raphinha in their team

That’s a short and sweet answer from Bielsa and enough encouragement to suggest that they will feature against Norwich.

This is a must-win game for Leeds. They have picked up just one win in the Premier League this season and really need to find some momentum.

Norwich haven’t won a game and have just two points to their name, so Leeds really need to win this one.

Their attacking players haven’t quite clicked this season, with the exception of Raphinha who looks as dangerous as ever.

The Brazilian brings so much drive, flair and creativity to this Leeds side, becoming one of the Premier League’s top wingers.

If he is fit to face Norwich, Leeds fans would surely feel confident of a win to try and kickstart their season.
