What a rotten second season back in the Premier League it’s proving to be for Leeds United.

Leeds have been hovering in and around the relegation zone for virtually the entire campaign thus far.

With Patrick Bamford having not played since September until recently, losing the talisman – United’s top goalscorer last season – was a massive blow.

But the Whites’ injury list has taken a real battering in recent days, so much so that Bielsa had nine – yes NINE! – senior players available for last night’s visit of Arsenal, which they lost 4-1.

Hell, it even got worse for Leeds after half-an-hour when Jack Harrison gingerley walked off the field with another suspected injury.

And although Bielsa confirmed that Harrison suffered a ‘big knock’ against the Gunners, he has some good news by revealing that the English attacker won’t be absent for too long.

He said via Leeds Live after the clash: “It’s just a big knock, a very painful one just below his hip. It’s just knocks that prevent you from continuing to play, but they’re not injuries that take long to recover from.”

Positive

These days at Elland Road, anything that isn’t disastrous news counts as positive news – and this definitely qualifies.

Okay so Leeds still have a serious injury crisis, but Harrison is one of their most important players and things would’ve got much worse if he was a long-term absentee, too.

However, if the Argentine manager is to be believed, the former Manchester City man should shake this off relatively quickly.
