Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa has suggested that Charlie Cresswell could make his debut for the Whites soon, as quoted in Leeds Live.
Cresswell was in action for Leeds in their Carabao Cup tie against Fulham on Tuesday.
The Whites won the tie on penalties.
The 19-year-old central defender started the match and played well.
Leeds head coach Bielsa has suggested Cresswell could make his Premier League debut soon.
Bielsa told Leeds Live about playing Cresswell in the Premier League: “I wouldn’t have any inconveniences. The performance from the other day is not a definitive performance, but it has a lot of arguments to say he took advantage of the opportunity he was given and he deserved it.
“If you observe, in the game against Newcastle, after taking [Luke] Ayling off, I pushed [Jamie] Shackleton in as a defensive midfielder and I put [Kalvin] Phillips in the backline in place of Cresswell coming on directly for Ayling, which would have been more natural.
“That indicates a position of mine with respect to Cresswell. After the game against Fulham, he’s taken a significant step forward. I have to read that message.”

Debut against West Ham United?
Leeds will take on West Ham United at Elland Road in the Premier League this afternoon.
Could Cresswell feature for the West Yorkshire club?
Possibly.

Diego Llorente and Robin Koch are out injured, Pascal Struijk is suspended, and Luke Ayling is a doubt.
Cresswell was left out of the Leeds Under-23 side against their Blackburn Rovers counterparts on Friday night.
It does suggest that the 19-year-old will be in the squad against West Ham today.
Leeds are not having the best of seasons and will be determined to win today.
However, West Ham are in good form at the moment and will fancy their chances of picking up all three points at Elland Road.
