Wolverhampton Wanderers may be in contention to sign West Bromwich Albion ace Nacer Chadli if betting odds are to be believed.

Bet Victor believe that Wolves may be in contention to sign West Brom star Nacer Chadli this summer, with the bookmaker listing the Premier League newbies at 6/1 to sign the Belgian during this window.

Chadli has endured a turbulent time with the Baggies. He often looked superb during his first season at The Hawthorns, however, his second campaign was a major disappointment, both for him and West Brom.

The Baggies were relegated to the Championship, and Chadli only managed to make five Premier League appearances during the entirety of the season. Like many of his teammates, his future appears to be somewhat up in the air, with the Express and Star reporting that he now has a £17 million release clause in his contract.

And while his form for West Brom may not lead to much interest, Chadli will probably have a much greater list of admirers in the wake of the World Cup having helped Belgium reach the semi-finals of the competition in Russia.

But could Wolves prove to be one of the sides interested in signing the attacking midfielder?

Bet Victor list Nuno Espirito Santo’s men as 6/1 contenders to sign Chadli, with Besiktas the only team ahead of them in the market with the Turkish side the 2/1 favourites. Galatasaray are also at 6/1, while Wolves’ Premier League rivals Everton find themselves at 8’s.

Wolves have made some exciting signings already this summer, and Chadli would arguably be another if anything came of the odds and the Championship title holders did make a move during this window. And it would perhaps be little surprise if he would jump at the chance to make the move to Molineux with a year of second tier football seemingly on the cards.
