Could West Bromwich Albion nab the Southampton ace?

Sky Bet have installed West Bromwich Albion as 13/8 favourites to sign Southampton forward Jay Rodriguez.
There is only six days left in the transfer window and West Brom would want to pull their socks up if they want to enjoy a strong end to the window.
As it stands, Matt Phillips is Tony Pulis’s only summer signing to date, but could Rodriguez follow him through the door at The Hawthorns? According to Sky Bet, possibly.

The bookmakers have quoted punters short odds of 13/8 to sign the 27-year-old attacker, who missed Southampton’s entire 2014-15 campaign through injury, and started only three Premier League games last term.
West Brom could certainly do with a striking option after their League Cup defeat by Northampton Town highlighted the need for a hitman.

Rickie Lambert led the forward line against the League One side, but the 34-year-old had very little effect. They do of course still have Saido Berahino and Salomon Rondon, but bringing in the Southampton man might give Pulis’s side an extra dimension.
Burnley are second favourites in the list at 12/1, with Hull City behind them at 20s. Rodriguez is 1/2 to stay with Southampton.
