Bookmakers have slashed odds on Tottenham’s Danny Rose heading to Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur haven’t been able to bring in any new signings this summer, and yet some fairly high-profile names could still leave the club before the transfer deadline next month.

Spurs have endured a frustrating summer as Mauricio Pochettino seeks reinforcements, and yet still the likes of Toby Alderweireld, Mousa Dembele, Fernando Llorente and flop Vincent Janssen continue to be linked with exits.

Another name touted for the exit for some time now is Danny Rose, with the left back tipped to leave ever since he blasted the club’s transfer strategy just days before the start of last season.

Rose, 28, missed most of 2017 with an injury and lost his place to Ben Davies, meaning he started just nine Premier League games last season, and started only once for England at the World Cup as Ashley Young took his place.

Davies is expected to remain as Tottenham’s first-choice left back this season, and with Rose relegated to second-choice, some feel he may leave the club in the near future.

Finding a suitor may not be easy, but Sky Bet have tonight slashed the odds on him making a shock move to newly-promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers, as he’s now just 7/2 to make a move to Molineux.

Danny Rose of Tottenham Hotspur looks on during the Premier League match between Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace at Wembley Stadium on November 5, 2017 in London, England.

That puts Wolves as joint-favourites to sign Rose in what would be another major deal after the signings of Portuguese international duo Rui Patricio and Joao Moutinho.

Wolves allowed left-wing back Barry Douglas to sign for Leeds United over the weekend, and whilst Jonny has arrived as his replacement, he is predominantly right-footed, and a natural left-wing back like Rose could be ideal – and Wolves fans may now be watching to see if a deal can be done before the transfer deadline.
