The bookies believe that Liverpool could be the Arsenal ace’s next club.

According to popular bookmakers SkyBET, Liverpool have been cut into 5/1 third favourites in the race to sign Jack Wilshere on a free transfer this summer.
The 26-year-old’s contract with Arsenal is due to expire at the end of this month, and he confirmed last week that he will be leaving the Emirates after spending 17 years in north London with the Gunners.

He has endured plenty of problems with injuries in recent years, but he seemed to be back to somewhere near his best with Arsenal last season, notching up 38 appearances in all competitions.

Quite where Wilshere will be plying his trade next season, though, remains to be seen.
There have been a whole host of clubs linked with a move for the 34-capped England international, including West Ham and AC Milan.

Those two clubs lead the betting at 2/1 and 7/2 respectively, according to SkyBET, but it will perhaps come as somewhat as a surprise to see Liverpool listed as 5/1 third favourites for the Arsenal man’s signature.
Wilshere would be an interesting signing for Liverpool, and despite his well-documented injury problems, his availability on a free transfer makes his potential move to Anfield a relatively risk-free one.
