Jack Wilshere has said on talkSPORT (6:41pm, June 30, 2022) that Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford would be an upgrade on Hugo Lloris at Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur.
Tottenham have been linked with Everton and England international goalkeeper Pickford.
According to a report in 90min this week, Tottenham have asked Premier League rivals Everton about the availability of Pickford.
However, according to the report, the £110,000-a-week (SalarySport) England international is not a transfer target for Tottenham for this summer’s window.
Hugo Lloris is the number one goalkeeper at Tottenham, who have signed Fraser Forster on a free transfer this summer.

Jack Wilshere on Tottenham Hotspur-linked Jordan Pickford
Wilshere said on talkSPORT (6:41pm, June 30, 2022) when asked if Pickford would be an upgrade on Lloris for Tottenham: “Yes. All-round, yeah, he is better (than Hugo Lloris), his distribution.”
Good signing for Spurs in the future?
In our opinion, Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford would be a good signing for Tottenham Hotspur in the long run.
Now, of course, we know that Spurs are not going to sign the 28-year-old this summer.
Pickford is also reportedly close to signing a new contract with Everton.
However, both Lloris and Forster are in their mid-30s, while Pickford is only 28 and has his best years ahead of him.
We know that Pickford can be erratic at times, but he is good with his feet and makes superb saves.
