Now that Timo Werner isn’t going to Liverpool, speculation is mounting again that Jadon Sancho might be.
Chelsea look set to sign the German attacker and The Independent have reported in recent days that the Reds are setting their sights on the Borussia Dortmund winger – valued at £80 million – once again.
The report adds that Sancho would favour a move to Liverpool and that manager Jurgen Klopp has already spoken to him.

Is this realistic? In a word, nope.
We’ve been led to believe that the reason why Liverpool didn’t pursue Werner is because they couldn’t afford his £52 million release clause.
So logically, how are the Premier League champions elect going to afford the £80 million that it’d take to prise Sancho from Signal Iduna Park?
This time of the year is known as silly season for a reason and simply put, it’s because of contradictory stories like this.
Sancho might wind up at Liverpool, but it almost certainly won’t be this summer unless Dortmund massively reduce their asking price.
