Liverpool took top spot in the Premier League standings yesterday after a 3-0 win against Crystal Palace, yet it was a goal from Naby Keita that stole the headlines.
The 2018 arrival from RB Leipzig scored his first goal of the season with a stunning volley from just outside the penalty are following a failed clearance from Palace, with Keita sending the Anfield crowd into raptures.
The goal was met with an even better celebration from Keita, who just stood there like it was no big deal to what he had just done against the Eagles.
Indeed, it was a stunning goal from Keita and one that could be a huge confidence booster to the midfielder. The Guinea international is yet to really hit the ground running at Liverpool since arriving three years ago.
Injuries, a lack of minutes and COVID-19 have all played a role in Keita’s rocky start to life on Merseyside. But this strike against Palace will no doubt be huge for the midfielder.
