Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after seeing what Harvey Elliott did for Blackburn in the 67th minute against Derby last night.

The 18-year-old scored the second goal in a 2-0 win over the Rams, before taking off his shirt in the 67th minute to reveal a wonderful message.

Elliott was wearing a white t-shirt with ’96 YNWA’ written on the front, in tribute to those who lost their lives in the Hillsborough disaster.

Thursday marked the 32nd anniversary of the tragic day.

Unsurprisingly, Elliott’s gesture has gone down extremely well with the Liverpool supporters on Twitter.

He really does seem to get the club.

Aside from his tribute, the goal he scored wasn’t bad either!

Elliott dribbled round a statuesque Derby player, before slamming the ball hard into the top-right corner.

It was his sixth Championship goal of the season, in what has been a stunning loan spell at Ewood Park for the wonderkid.

Impressively, the London-born forward has also registered 11 assists – only Norwich maestro Emiliano Buendia has assisted more goals with 15.

The future looks seriously bright for the diminutive attacker, who Liverpool poached from Fulham.

Let’s see what the Liverpool fans on Twitter have been saying about his goal, and also his wonderful tribute…
