Some Liverpool fans have responded to Rhian Brewster’s post on Twitter after the match for Swansea City.

Brewster, on loan from Liverpool, scored for Swansea in their 2-1 win against Sheffield Wednesday at the Liberty Stadium in the Championship on Sunday.

The 20-year-old striker found the net in the 52nd minute, as the Swans maintained their chances of finishing in the playoffs.

The England Under-20 international joined Swansea on loan from Premier League club Liverpool in the January transfer window.

The striker has made 14 starts and one substitute appearance in the Championship for the Swans, scoring seven goals in the process, according to WhoScored.

The youngster has established himself as an important player in the Swansea team, and is playing and scoring regularly for the Welsh club.

The Scottish Sun reported last month that Rangers manager Steven Gerrard wants to sign Brewster on loan from Liverpool for the 2020-21 campaign.

Some Liverpool fans have been impressed with Brewster and have responded positively to his post on Twitter, as shown below.

Meanwhile, Liverpool legend Phil Thompson has given his take on Thiago Alcantara, with Sport reporting that the Reds are close to signing the central midfielder from Bayern Munich.

Thompson said about Thiago on Sky Sports News (1:59pm, July 4, 2020): “I would have thought another midfield player, a creative one.

“I know that the Coutinho one is gone out of the equation, but Alcantara does fit that bill, by the way. I think he is an absolutely terrific player.”
