Nine goals in eight Premier League games is evidence that Arsenal, as an attacking force, have lost their mojo.

Even in Arsene Wenger’s last season, the Gunners still managed to score 74 league goals – a tally only bettered by Liverpool and Manchester City.

Historically, Arsenal have scored goals for fun and it’s been the defence that has undermined their chances of success in the Premier League and Europe.

But these days, the North Londoners couldn’t find a net in a fishing village and some of their fans are calling on Mikel Arteta to involve Emile Smith Rowe a little more.

Arteta has completely exiled playmaker Mesut Ozil this season and when he’s your only creative spark, perhaps it was a mistake by the rookie 38-year-old Spanish coach.

Arsenal are in dire need of some magic for the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette to feed off.

And some fans of the Emirates Stadium want to see the 20-year-old – who dazzled in an attacking midfield role for Huddersfield Town during the second half of last season – a lot more often going forward.

Here’s how supporters responded as Arsenal uploaded a photo of Smith Rowe – whose last appearance for the club came under Freddie Ljungberg last December – in training on Thursday.
