Hugo Lloris named Tottenham teammate as the third best player in the world.

Harry Kane was happy simply to be nominated for the 60 man Ballon d’Or shortlist, but teammate Hugo Lloris gave him even bigger backing.
FIFA documents released after the awards were announced show Lloris voted for Kane in his top three.
Cristiano Ronaldo won the award, with Lionel Messi second and Neymar third.
Lloris is entitled to a vote as he is captain of the French national team.

Lloris voted for Cristiano Ronaldo as number one, picking Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos as number two, and selecting Harry Kane third.
Missing from his list was Barcelona and Argentina legend Messi.
Lloris was not the only player to vote for Harry Kane.

Kane was also picked as the third choice by the captain of the British Virgin Islands, and second place by the captain of Monserrat.
Former Spurs teammate Emmanuel Adebayor was entitled to a vote as the Togo captain, but did not include Kane in his top three.
Even to get backing from his own teammate, Kane’s inclusion in such company highlights what a fantastic 2017 he has had, and next year he will be attempting to pick up even more votes.
