
Some Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Jake Cain for the Under-23 side against their Arsenal counterparts today.
Cain was in action for the Liverpool Under-23s against their Arsenal counterparts this afternoon.
The 19-year-old midfielder had a very good game, as he scored two goals and provided an assist for the Merseyside club in their 4-0 win.
For the first goal, the youngster showed a lovely piece of skill on the edge of the box and then found the top corner with a composed finish.
Then in the second half, the teenager found the back of the net with a low left-footed effort.
The young midfielder provided the assist for Ben Woodburn’s goal later in the half.
Cain has been on the books of Liverpool – who will face Sheffield United in the Premier League on Sunday – since 2010 and has progressed well through the ranks.

As stated on Liverpool’s official website, the teenager signed his first professional contract with the defending English champions in September 2019 and renewed his deal in July 2020.
