Some Leeds United fans have praised Sam Greenwood on Twitter for his heroics against the Aston Villa Under-23 side on Friday evening.

Greenwood, signed from Arsenal in the summer of 2020, has been superb for the Leeds Under-23 team this season.

The 19-year-old forward has been banging in the goals for fun and has scored from free kicks, and he was at it again against Villa.

The teenager scored a wonderful free kick in the fourth minute of the match, as Mark Jackson’s side won 2-1.

The result also saw Leeds win the Premier League 2 Division 2 title this season.

Some Leeds fans were impressed by Greenwood on Friday evening and have raved about him on Twitter.

Greenwood is a very talented and promising young forward who plays with confidence and scores goals regularly.

Of course, the 19-year-old is still developing and progressing as a footballer and is not the finished article yet, but he could get a chance in the first team soon.

Perhaps Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa will include Greenwood in first-team pre-season with a view to giving him minutes in 2021-22.
