Fulham have been active in this summer’s transfer window. Scott Parker’s side are gearing up for a difficult season in the Premier League and their signings so far have been impressive.

Anthony Knockaert and Harrison Reed have made their loan moves permanent, while Antonee Robinson and Mario Lemina have also joined the club; the former on a permanent deal and the latter on a season-long loan.

If reports are to be believed, Fulham are not stopping there. The Lilywhites are looking to bring in a few more players and latest reports have claimed they are looking at a former Chelsea player.

West London Sport claim that Fulham are interested in Lyon’s Bertrand Traore. The Burkina Faso international was once expected to be the future of Chelsea but his stock has gone down massively over the years.

Traore scored four goals and provided five assists in 35 games in all competitions last season. He is yet to feature for Lyon this term and, with just two years left on his contract, he will likely be allowed to leave for the right price.

Fulham spent a lot of money the last time they were in the Premier League. That didn’t quite work out for them then and they can’t afford to make the same mistake now.

Would Traore be a good signing for Fulham?

The Cottagers have to get their transfer strategy right and, as important as a versatile attacker is, Traore really would be a big risk for them this season.

The former Chelsea man has scored more than 10 league goals in a season only once in his career. He is extremely one footed and, as exciting as his pace and trickery can be, his end product is a real worry, especially for a team who will likely be fighting for their lives.

The only positive in a potential deal for Traore is that he is still only 24.

If Parker really believes he can get the best out of the winger, he could take a punt on him this summer, and some Fulham supporters feel that he would be an upgrade to what they currently have.
