Everton fans have raved about the performance of Anthony Gordon in their game against Southampton last night.
Everton were largely outplayed by Southampton, even though they claimed a 1-1 draw at Goodison Park yesterday.
The Toffees were slightly fortunate to avoid defeat, with many of their players coming in for criticism.
However, the display of Gordon was one positive to come out of the contest, and Everton fans hailed the youngster on social media after his apologetic message.
Gordon is really starting to establish himself as a key member of Everton’s line-up now.
The prospect has been given a chance by Carlo Ancelotti and he really does seem to be grasping the opportunity.
Everton have not looked at their best since the restart, but Gordon has been one of their best performers.
And if he continues to keep up his current standard, the future looks extremely bright for the 20-year-old on Merseyside.
