Everton’s Abdoulaye Doucoure has told the club’s official programme that Carlo Ancelotti is even better than he expected.
Doucoure has made a wonderful start to life at Everton, after joining from Watford in the summer.
And the French midfielder says that he has already developed a really good relationship with Ancelotti at Goodison Park.
“Everton was a big step for me, I worked hard to be in the team. I have a very good relationship with the manager and he put his trust in me,” Doucoure said.
“He doesn’t speak too much. He just gives one or two words of advice and gives you confidence and I can feel I am improving straight away.
“I heard a lot of good things about him before I came but he is even better than I expected. I improved already with him and I want to keep going the same way.”
Everton’s ambition of appointing an elite level manager like Ancelotti already appears to be paying off.

The Italian has helped the Toffees improve hugely so far this season, with Everton currently leading the way after taking maximum points from their first four Premier League games.
Doucoure’s energetic performances have been a major reason behind their fast start, too.
Everton lacked quality in central areas last term, but the arrival of Doucoure alongside Allan seems to have solved any problems they were suffering with in that position.
The Toffees are next in action against Liverpool tomorrow, when Doucoure will be given his first taste of the Merseyside derby.
