Rangers won their first league game of the season as they clinched a 2-1 away victory at Dundee on Saturday afternoon, with Jordan Rossiter grabbing the headlines.
The Gers had opened the campaign with a 1-1 draw with Hamilton last weekend, but made a great start at Dens Park as Harry Forrester gave Mark Warburton’s men a 14th minute lead.

Striker Kenny Miller added a second for Rangers on 39 minutes, but Dundee did threaten to rally as Mark O’Hara pulled a goal back on the stroke of half time.
Rangers still managed to dominate possession though with 61% of the ball, and ultimately managed to see the game out and claim a vital away win – something Rangers occasionally struggled with during last season.

Manager Warburton will be pleased to pick up his first Premiership win of the season, and he’ll be particularly happy with the performance of summer signing Jordan Rossiter.
The midfielder, snapped up from Liverpool in May, was handed his first league start for Rangers against Dundee, and featured in midfield alongside Joey Barton and Andy Halliday in a midfield three.
Rossiter starred in midfield, protecting the back four with tackles and interceptions, with his tenacity proving vital alongside the experienced Barton.
Rangers fans
After the game, Rangers fans took to Twitter to rave about Rossiter’s performance, praising his tackling and reading of the game, whilst calling him a bargain after he joined the Gers for a low compensation fee when his Liverpool contract expired.
Others suggested that Rossiter is better than Liverpool’s starting midfielder Jordan Henderson, and even compared him to former Rangers star Gennaro Gattuso – something which paints quite the picture about Rossiter’s tenacity in the middle of the park.
