It’s easy to see why Liverpool reportedly want Vinicius Junior – especially based on his performance last night.
Diario Madridista reported during the January transfer window that Liverpool – among others – were interested in bringing the 20-year-old Brazilian attacker to Anfield.
And going by his display for Real Madrid on Tuesday night, there’s a lot of potential there.
The Spanish giants beat Atalanta 3-1 in the Champions League but it was a moment of brilliance from Vinicius which had rival fans waxing lyrical on Twitter.
At one point in the second half, he embarked on a surging, powerful run, galloping through the heart of the Italians’ defence with a sense of effortlessness.
But when it came time to finish, Vinicius spoiled a goal of the competition contender by poking wide with only the goalkeeper to beat.
Liverpool could and probably will bolster their attacking options this summer, in light of how much Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino have struggled since the turn of the year.
