Some Tottenham fans on social media have been drooling over Dilan Markanday after another solid performance for the U23s.
There isn’t much to shout about at Tottenham at the moment, but the U23s seem to be picking up good results and putting in solid performances.
One man who has caught the eye this season is Markanday. He’s earned his first call-up to the senior team this term, and while he didn’t manage to get off the bench, Jose Mourinho has assured him that his time will come.
He was on the scoresheet on Monday as Tottenham’s youth side beat Leicester 3-1, and as you can imagine, his goal sparked a bit of a reaction on social media.
Some fans were calling for him to get a chance in the first-team, while one supporter even went as far as to claim he’s better than Steven Bergwijn.
Mourinho needs to change something at Spurs, and one way he could shake things up is by playing some of his young stars, and if he looks towards the U23s, Markanday is certainly a player that will catch his eye.
