Leeds United are linked to Bristol City’s Aden Flint. How does he compare with Kyle Bartley?
According to the Daily Mail, the Robins are open to offers for the 27-year-old centre-back, who they value at £4 million.

Leeds are in need of another centre-back, perhaps two, as they look to fill the void left by Kyle Bartley who has returned to Swansea City.
At Elland Road Aden Flint would have big shoes to fill as Bartley was a real crowd favourite and struck up a solid partnership with Pontus Jansson.
Yet statistics from last season suggest he could be just as good.
| Team | Passing Accuracy | Won Tackles | Interception Won | Ball Recoveries | Aerial Duels Won | Shots Blocked | Effective Clearances | Goals | Mins Played | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kyle Bartley | Leeds | 79% | 42 | 72 | 186 | 163 | 47 | 315 | 6 | 4,050 |
| Aden Flint | Bristol C | 63% | 46 | 67 | 150 | 291 | 47 | 390 | 5 | 4,140 |
The two players match up well, with Flint winning more tackles, more aerial duels, and making more clearances.
Bartley managed more interceptions, more ball recoveries and one more goal scored, while the duo blocked the same number of shots.
Leeds’ Kyle Bartley
Flint was also an ever present last season, an attribute Leeds need given Jansson’s tendency to pick up suspensions.
A deal may not be on the cards just yet, but the idea evidently intrigues Flint enough for him to give it the time of day, and it is an interesting option for new owner Andrea Radrizzani to weigh up.
