Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to react after the club announced that Aaron Ramsey had won the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award.
The 18-year-old ended March with five goals and two assists in just three games for Aston Villa’s Under-23 side.
He now has nine goals and four assists in 17 Premier League 2 outings this season.
He didn’t just shine for the Under-23 side. The prodigy also scored twice for the Under-18 side in their 3-0 FA Youth Cup win over Brighton.
Ramsey – brother of fellow Villa wonderkid Jacob Ramsey – also signed his first professional contract with the Villans during March, in what was a special month for him.
The teenager beat the likes of Leeds forward Joe Gelhardt, Manchester City’s Liam Delap and Cole Palmer, Brighton’s Ed Turns and Blackburn’s Sam Burns to the award.

Amazingly, that wasn’t all that March had in store for Ramsey.
The precocious attacking midfielder also captained England’s Under-18 side in the 2-0 win over Wales towards the end of the month.
It very much seems as if Villa’s excellent academy has another gem rolling off the conveyor belt.

If he can become even half the player Jack Grealish is, Villa fans will surely be absolutely ecstatic.
Let’s see what they’ve been saying after hearing about Ramsey’s award…
