Jose Enrique has said on Twitter that Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount should have been joined Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool instead of Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United.
The pundit has said that Chelsea and England international midfielder Mason Mount would have fitted in better at Liverpool than at Manchester United.
According to The Times, Manchester United are on the verge of signing Mount from Premier League rivals Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
The Red Devils will pay the Blues an initial transfer fee of £55 million for the 24-year-old.
Mount will “now undergo a medical and finalise personal terms on a five-year deal”, according to the report.
The Times reported earlier this week that Liverpool also looked at potentially signing Mount but did not make a bid for the England international midfielder I the end.
Former Liverpool star Enrique believes that Mount would have been better at Anfield than at Old Trafford.

Should Liverpool have bid for Manchester United-bound Mason Mount?
In our opinion, Liverpool should have at least tried to sign Mason Mount from Chelsea and beat Manchester United.
A transfer fee of £55 million for a 24-year-old established England international is not really much, especially in today’s market.
Mount has done well for Chelsea over the years, and we believe that he would have made Liverpool better in the middle of the park.
The England international can drive the team forward and works hard, and he is only 24.
Mount will get better in the coming years.
