Speaking to the Open Goal YouTube channel, Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has been speaking about Tom Rogic.

Rogic is one player who has benefitted from Postecoglou’s arrival at Celtic. The midfielder is seemingly loving working alongside a fellow Australian, and it seems as though Postecoglou is also a big fan of the 28-year-old.

The gaffer says that Rogic is really enjoying his football right now and he’s tipped him to get even better.

What’s been said about Rogic?

Postecoglou says Rogic is a special player who could still improve even further.

“He is one of those players where if the ball goes to him people shut up and get off their seat and watch the game because they know something is going to happen. He’s really hard on himself and when Tommy enjoys his football that’s when the best comes out of him. He’s really enjoying his football now. He’s only 28, he’s got plenty of years ahead of him. In fact, his best years could be ahead of him if he keeps going the way he’s going,” Postecoglou said.

Could still improve

Postecoglou says Rogic could still improve, and we’re inclined to believe him.

As the Aussie says, Rogic plays his best stuff when he’s enjoying his football and if he continues to play with a level of confidence there’s no reason why he can’t hit greater heights.

Rogic has had a tough couple of years at Celtic Park, but this new era has seen him return to his best and he may still have some room to grow.
