Liverpool star Andrew Robertson has singed a new five-year deal with the club, according to the club’s official website, and some Reds fans took to Twitter in reaction to the news.

The 24-year-old joined Liverpool from Hull City in the summer of 2017, for a fee believed to be worth somewhere in the region of £8 million, and he has gone on to be nothing short of an outstanding success at Anfield, making 56 appearances in all competitions in the process.

Robertson is now widely considered to be one of the best left-backs in the Premier League, if not Europe, and he is a real fan favourite amongst the Anfield faithful.

The Scotland international’s current deal expires in the summer of 2021, but according to the club’s official website, he has now put pen to paper on a new five-year contract.

He was on £50,000 per week, according to Sportek, and has surely be given a significant rise on that package.
