Liverpool fans on Twitter have questioned why Everton are seemingly pushing for Real Madrid’s Sergio Reguilon when they already have Lucas Digne.
Sky Sports have reported that Everton have bid £18 million for Real Madrid’s man on the left, who had a strong season on-loan at Sevilla last season.
There are sections of Liverpool fans who stated that they always hear how good Digne is and why their neighbours are then pushing for Reguilon’s signature.
The Toffees do need another left-back for the new campaign following Leighton Baines’ retirement, but does that mean buying another player in the region of £18 million?
Carlo Ancelotti could potentially play the Madrid player further forward, but equally, it would put into question Digne’s future on Merseyside.
Either way, it seems as though Everton aren’t wasting any time in trying to prepare for the new season after a below-average campaign last time out.
If Reguilon does put pen-to-paper at Goodison Park then he will be coming up against the Premier League champions next season.
