Tottenham Hotspur are considered dark horses to win the Premier League title this season.

A number of pundits – including Jamie Carragher – have suggested that Jose Mourinho’s side could upset the status quo of Liverpool and Manchester City in the top two places.

And there’s a good reason why people are talking about Tottenham.

So far, Spurs have scored 16 goals in six games – more than any other team in the Premier League before gameweek seven – after Harry Kane and Son Heung-min enjoyed a rip-roaring start to the new campaign.

The North Londoners host Brighton & Hove Albion tomorrow night.

And after studying Sunday’s opponents, Seagulls boss Graham Potter has admitted that he hasn’t seen a stronger side than the Lilywhites so far this season.

He told Press Association: “Probably the best team I’ve seen from my analysis. Really balanced in attack and defence. Physicality. Reactions really good. They look a really impressive outfit.

“After doing some analysis of Tottenham, they are fantastic, absolutely.”

The problem with Tottenham is that their defence isn’t the strongest.

A couple of weeks ago, they conceded three goals in the final eight minutes as West Ham United somehow left North London with a point.

That right there illustrates that Mourinho has a bit of work to do before there’s any mention of a title, but they’re going to out-score most teams this season – and they don’t even have a fully-fit Gareth Bale yet.
