It’s pretty much widely accepted that Liverpool star Mohamed Salah is the world’s best player right now.

With 15 goals in all competitions already this season – including a hat-trick in the 5-0 win at Manchester United last weekend – there’s probably nobody who can touch Salah at the moment.

Fifteen goals from 12 games for Liverpool is a stunning return and if he stays fit, there’s just no telling how many he’ll wind up scoring come May.

But despite his status and profile, Andy Robertson has taken the you know what out of Salah in Jurgen Klopp’s training session on Thursday.

Klopp put his troops through their paces at the Axa Training Centre ahead of Saturday’s visit of Brighton & Hove Albion to Anfield.

And Robertson, an £8 million signing by Liverpool four years ago, has jokingly mocked the idea that Salah is the game’s finest player after seeing him complete one drill.

In footage published by LFC TV, the Scottish left-back can be heard uttering saying: “Best player in the world?” and then followed by a “….not for me” seconds later.

Harmony

Robertson’s quip drew a smile out of the former Chelsea and Roma winger.

The exchange was a perfect example as to why Liverpool are so very dangerous.

It isn’t because Klopp’s squad is brimming with world-class talent; it’s also because the banter and harmony in the squad is truly top tier, perhaps unmatched.

The German has assembled such a stunning, cohesive unit here and that’s a big reason as to why they could well win another Premier League title this season.
