Wolves, Everton and West Ham target Jesus Corona is currently the best player in the whole of Portugal, the Mexico international’s agent has told Calciomercato.

Not even Trent Alexander-Arnold can complete with this jet-heeled Porto wideman when it comes to setting up goals for his grateful team-mates.

In all competitions across 2019/20, Corona has a remarkable 17 assists to his name – three more than Liverpool’s homegrown hero.

The former FC Twente winger has been transformed into a thrilling full-back since moving to the Estadio do Dragao, and his remarkable performances in the pristine city of Porto has clubs from the Premier League fluttering their eyelashes in his direction.

Everton and West Ham have been linked, via A Bola in February.

And Wolves were thrown into the mix on Tuesday, with El Universal reporting that a man known as ‘Tecatito’ in his native America could be on his way to Molinuex to reunite with his former Porto coach Nuno Espirito Santo.

Matias Bunge, Corona’s agent, has already confirmed that there is a £25 million release clause in his client’s contract.

And with interest rising from all across Europe, he is once again talking up a man who has been in sensational form since football returned in Portugal this month.

“He is the best player in the league since the return,” Bunge says. “He has been the most decisive player in every game he has played, the best on the pitch.

“In the last game, against Marítimo, he played in five different positions: right-back, half striker, second striker, left wing and right wing. He is a very versatile footballer

“I think that if a good offer comes, (Porto) will consider it.”

Bunge admits that Inter Milan are interested in Corona’s signature. And it is no coincidence that Antonio Conte and Nuno Espirito Santo are both famed for their iconic 3-5-2 formations.

Corona could be a revelation as a rampaging wing-back at Molineux or the San Siro.
