West Ham United have bene quiet in the transfer market this summer, and David Moyes needs some reinforcements.
Outside of landing Tomas Soucek permanently, West Ham have added no new faces to Moyes’ squad, and have controversially sold Grady Diangana to West Bromwich Albion.
A centre back and a couple of full backs may be needed, but it’s a more creative player being linked with a move to the London Stadium.
O Jogo report that West Ham have made contact to try and re-sign Inter Milan midfielder Joao Mario, but face competition from Leeds United and Newcastle United.
Joao Mario, 27, was signed by Moyes at West Ham in January 2018, and he scored twice in 14 appearances for the Hammers.
The Portuguese ace didn’t land a permanent deal, and after spending time at Lokomotiv Moscow last season, he could now return to West Ham.

Fans have been taking to Twitter to react to the rumours, with some branding him a ‘class act’ whilst suggesting that the news of Mario’s possible return is ‘the best news of the summer’.
Others weren’t impressed with him last time, claiming that he would be a waste of space and isn’t worth bothering re-signing this summer, with. areal split opinion on the former Sporting man.
