Liverpool fans are overjoyed at the news that Sadio Mane and Thiago are back in training ahead of their showdown with Everton on Saturday.

It’s a much-needed boost for Jurgen Klopp, who was without the duo for their 7-2 defeat at Aston Villa last time out because they were self-isolating, as reported by the Liverpool Echo.

Liverpool fans needed a lift following that defeat to Villa and it seems they have got it from this news.

Mane would be expected to slip straight back into the starting XI, but it will be interesting to see if Klopp decides to select his new summer signing from the off.

Given how excited Liverpool fans are that Thiago has returned to training, it’s pretty obvious that they would want him starting against the current Premier League leaders.

Whilst the Toffees have struggled in previous meetings against their neighbours, it does seem that their ship is being run differently this time around.

One thing is for sure, Carlo Ancelotti’s men are bang in form, 100% record to their name and scoring goals for fun.

That scenario might suit the Reds because it then puts more pressure on Everton to actually do something.

But either way, with Mane and Thiago in contention to start, it just adds more spice to the Merseyside derby.
