Tottenham Hotspur right-back Matt Doherty has raved about Ghana international midfielder and reported Spurs target Mohammed Kudus on the club’s official website.
Doherty believes that Kudus, linked with Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur, was Ghana’s best player against Portugal at the 2022 Qatar World Cup on Thursday.
The Republic of Ireland international was surprised that the 22-year-old Ajax midfielder was taken off in the second half.
Portugal beat Ghana 3-2.
Bild reported in October that Tottenham Hotspur are challenging Everton and Borussia Dortmund for Kudus.
Matt Doherty on Tottenham Hotspur target Mohammed Kudus
Doherty said: “Portugal was a good game. Ghana looked a threat in the second half. I was surprised Ghana took off Kudus (on 77 minutes) with no apparent injury, I thought he was their best player.”

Exciting
In our view, Mohammed Kudus is a very promising and exciting young player who will make Tottenham Hotspur better in the middle of the park.
The 22-year-old did well against a star-studded Portugal team at the World Cup on Thursday and held his own in the middle of the park.
We think that if Spurs sign Kudus in January or next summer, then they will be making a signing who will be there for years to come.
The 22-year-old has scored five goals in five Eredivisie starts for Ajax this season.
Kudus has also scored four goals and given two assists in five UEFA Champions League starts this campaign.
