Southampton forward Jay Rodriguez speaks highly of Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Southampton forward Jay Rodriguez has told The Times that Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino is the best manager he has ever worked with.
Rodriguez worked with Pochettino when the Argentine was the manager of Southampton from January 2013 until the end of the 2013-14 season.
The 27-year-old forward has also revealed that he is still in touch with the former Espanyol head coach.

“Mauricio is the best coach, the best manager and best person I’ve ever worked with,” Rodriguez told The Times.
“He knows how much I appreciate what he has done and what he still does for me. He constantly speaks to me. He is still supporting me and his staff are the same. He is an unbelievable manager and a person.”

Pochettino is a brilliant manager and has done a wonderful job at Tottenham so far.
Spurs ended up third in the Premier League table last season and are in the running for the league title this campaign.
The North London outfit are going strong under Pochettino, who is certainly one of the best football managers currently working in the Premier League.
Rodriguez is clearly a fan of the Spurs boss, and perhaps in the future the forward could get to work with him.
After all, Tottenham could be looking for a forward in the summer transfer window if Vincent Janssen’s form does not improve.
Southampton will take on Premier League rivals Liverpool at St. Mary’s Stadium in the semi-finals of the EFL Cup on Wednesday evening.
