Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst has found a silver lining in his side’s performance at Celtic on Wednesday night.

Celtic hammered their Old Firm rivals 3-0 at Parkhead to make a significant Scottish Premiership title statement.

Rangers conceded all three goals during a ruthless first-half showing in which the Hoops were simply dominant.

However, the Gers boss threw Ryan Jack on for the second half, sacrificing Glen Kamara and the visitors did look majorly stronger in midfield as a result of the Scotland international’s presence.

It wasn’t enough to reverse the damage that Ange Postecoglou’s outfit inflicted during the opening 45 minutes.

But Jack – who hit the crossbar – certainly reiterated that he’s a massive player for Rangers and the Dutch manager believes that the former Aberdeen player was head and shoulders above anybody after the break.

He told The Scottish Sun: “For me he was the best man on the pitch in the second half. Not only his performance, but his attitude, his coaching, his motivation. I think he changed the game for us.”

Well if you were to salvage something positive, it would be that Celtic only won by the same three goals that they plundered throughout the first half.

However, even that is a sickening consolation when you consider that Rangers are actually defending champions of the Scottish Premiership.

The Hoops are now top of the standings, though, and one point clear of their Ibrox rivals.
