The Aston Villa youngster has been in good form recently.

Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce looks on during the Pre-Season Friendly between AFC Telford United and Aston Villa at New Bucks Head Stadium on July 12, 2017 in Telford, England.

Villa boss Steve Bruce addressed the media in the aftermath of his side’s superb 5-0 win over Bristol City in the Championship last night, and raved about the performance of Jack Grealish, labelling it as the best display he has seen from the youngster, as quoted by the club’s official website.

The Villans jumped up to fifth position in the Championship table with their victory last night, and they now sit just five points adrift of second placed Derby County.

Their superb win over the Robins was inspired by their talented young play-maker, and Vills fans must be delighted to have him back and firing on all cylinders.

Grealish, 22, is one of the most talented youngsters in the game, but he has endured a troublesome last few years, with his off-field antics proving detrimental to his progression and development as a footballer.

Bruce chose to single out the midfielder for praise, when speaking to reporters, highlighting how last night’s display was the best performance that he has seen from him, as quoted by AVFC.co.uk:

Jack Grealish of Aston Villa during the Sky Bet Championship match between Aston Villa and Cardiff City at Villa Park on November 26, 2016 in Birmingham, England.

“It looks as if Jack has become a man this season, even though he’s still only 22. The injury he picked up in pre-season was bad, and our strength and conditioning team have helped him recover well from it. He’s been committed to it and it shows. He’s big and strong and powerful. He’s given his best performance under me tonight.”

Next up for Grealish and co is their FA Cup tie with Peterborough on Saturday, and Bruce will surely make plenty of changes, with promotion to the Premier League topping their list of priorities this season.
