Aston Villa winger Trezeguet has labelled Mo Salah as the ‘best player in the world’ after Liverpool were beaten in the Champions League final.

The Villa man added on his Instagram story that Salah did his ‘country proud’ despite Liverpool suffering more heartache at the hands of Real Madrid.

Four years ago, Salah went off injured against Madrid in the Champions League final and he wanted ‘revenge’ in Paris for that nightmare night in Kyiv.

Well, whilst the Egypt star played the entire game in France’s capital, he suffered the same heartache and his comments before the game didn’t sit down well with Thierry Henry.

Nonetheless, this is what Villa’s £9 million winger (BBC Sport), who is Salah’s fellow countryman, posted on his IG story about Salah.

“You are the best player in the world,” said Trezeguet. “All your country is proud of you. Legend.”

SALAH STAYING AT LIVERPOOL NEXT SEASON

Liverpool’s flying winger is yet to sign a new contract at the club, but one thing is for sure, he will be on Merseyside soil next season.

That’s a big boost for Jurgen Klopp because he will be pushing for every trophy again next term.

But, whilst Salah is staying put, the same can’t be said for his partner in crime, Sadio Mane.

It’s been suggested that the Africa Cup of Nations winner wants a new adventure and he will leave Anfield – if that’s the case, then he departs as one of the club’s greatest-ever players.
