Some Tottenham fans on social media have been raving over the performance of Heung-Min Son on Wednesday evening, despite the fact they were knocked out of the FA Cup by Everton.
Spurs’ cup campaign may have come to an end at Goodison Park, but one thing did please supporters, and that was Son’s performance.
Even though we’ve come to expect this sort of showing from the South Korean in recent months, this performance was something special as he grabbed two assists and looked dangerous every time he was on the ball.
At times he looked as though he was the only player on the pitch who was going to win the game for Spurs, and while Davinson Sanchez may have put two in the back of the net, it was Son who everyone was talking about after the game.
Frustratingly, his efforts were in vain as Spurs succumbed to a 5-4 defeat in extra-time, but for fans online, that didn’t seem to take the gloss off of what was a spectacular showing.
