Sunderland’s on loan winger is second only to his countryman Eden Hazard.
Sunderland’s Adnan Januzaj in action with Everton’s Kevin Mirallas and Leighton Baines
The Premier League season is now five games old and whilst it is too early in the season to be making assumptions about who will finish where or who the stars of the show will be come the end of the campaign, it is still interesting to see how the statistics are shaping up at this early stage of the season.
So which Premier League player has been the best dribbler in the league so far?
It will no surprise to see Eden Hazard, a master with the ball at his feet, topping the table – nothing too remarkable there.
| Position | Team | Won Contest | Appearances | Mins Played | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Eden Hazard | MF | Chelsea | 24 | 5 | 436 |
| Adnan Januzaj | MF | Sunderland | 22 | 5 | 385 |
| Raheem Sterling | FW | Man City | 20 | 5 | 420 |
| Wilfried Zaha | MF | C. Palace | 19 | 5 | 384 |
| Andros Townsend | MF | C. Palace | 16 | 5 | 432 |
But in second place in successful dribbles it is Sunderland loanee Adnan Januzaj.
Sunderland have struggled so far this season and Januzaj himself was sent off against Tottenham at the weekend.
But overall he has looked a good acquisition for Sunderland and his stats seem to suggest he is doing something right.
Chelsea’s Eden Hazard in action
The rest of the top five is made up of Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling and Crystal Palace wing wizards Wilfried Zaha and Andros Townsend.
Sunderland will have to forgive the occasional petulance from their young Belgian – as it seems he does still have something special in his capacity to beat a man.
