The former Anderlecht boss is set for Polish football.
Yesterday morning saw Nottingham Forest linked with a move for former Anderlecht boss Besnik Hasi.
Het Nieuwsblad reported that Hasi, who left his role at Anderlecht at the end of March, had plenty of offers on the table. Legia Warsaw were said to have offered him the job whilst Galatasaray are also said to be interested.
However, the former Albania international was also said to be keen on a move to England and had an offer from the Championship – which Nieuwsblad suggested was from Forest.
Well that reported interest can now be forgotten because Hasi was unveiled as the new head coach of Legia Warsaw yesterday evening.
He was officially presented by the club last night on their official website.
Speaking to Legia.com he had this to say about the move to Polish football:
“I am very happy and honoured to become part of the Club with such a beautiful history and tradition. I hope that I would achieve all the goals that put the club in front of me.
“I have received many proposals which I do not want at this moment to remember.”
Hasi, whose Anderlecht side defeated Spurs in the Europa League last season, was seemingly a tentative link to Forest considering he has joined Legia so swiftly after the initial reports.
The East Midlands club will likely be continuing their hunt, with plenty of names still being linked with the top job at the City Ground.
Hasi however will not be that man.
