Javier Hernandez has struggled to settle since joining West Ham United last summer and Besiktas are interested in signing the striker on loan.
Besiktas are seeking a replacement for Cenk Tosun, who joined Everton earlier this month, and bringing in Hernandez on a temporary basis is one of the options that they are considering, as reported by the Daily Mail.
Hernandez has mustered just four goals in 21 appearances for West Ham across all competitions and has now gone nine games without finding the net.
The Mexican has cut a frustrated figure at times and it may well be best for all concerned if he was allowed to leave West Ham, even if it is only on a temporary basis.
With Marko Arnautovic now often being deployed as a forward, it is questionable whether Hernandez would receive much playing time should he remain at West Ham and he would surely relish the opportunity to go elsewhere and play regularly.
Although they are in 11th place in the table, West Ham are just five points clear of the relegation zone and still have much work to do in order to preserve their Premier League status and their transfer activity this month could be hugely important in dictating their future.
