Liverpool and Everton are reportedly keen on signing the Besiktas defender.
Both Liverpool and Everton have been linked with a move for Besiktas centre-back Domagoj Vida this summer, and the Turkish club’s president Fikret Orman admitted that if they receive an acceptable offer, the Croatian could very well be sold, as quoted by Turkish-Football.
Turkish media outlet Aspor claimed last that Liverpool submitted a £12 million offer for Vida last week, after Everton had made a bid for the 29-year-old’s services just a few days before.
The Besiktas centre-back has really risen to prominence at the World Cup in Russia this summer with some outstanding performances for Croatia.

He has been an absolute hero at the back for Zlatko Dalić’s team, and his own unique brand of aggressive, no-nonsense defending seems to be ideally suited to the robust nature of the Premier League.
Besiktas president Fikret Orman left the door open for both clubs to make their moves, when speaking to Turkish-Football, suggesting that every player has their price:
“I really like Vida, I have really enjoyed watching him at the World Cup. Look we did not want to sell Cenk, Marcelo or Ersan but you saw what happened, it is the situation we find ourselves in. Just because we don’t want to sell does not mean we won’t sell. We do not want Vida to leave but for the right price? we will see.”
Quite where Vida ends up remains to be seen, but if either Everton or Liverpool do manage to pick him up for somewhere in the region of £12-15 million, it really would have to be classed as fantastic business for whichever club wins the race for his signature.
